The Advance Richmond Community Association (ARCA) is a grassroots civic organization founded by Richmond residents and registered as an elector organization with Elections BC. We endorse municipal candidates, organize community forums, and advocate for residents' priorities.
Is ARCA a political party?
In BC local elections, groups that endorse candidates are called elector organizations. ARCA is a registered elector organization — our name appears alongside our endorsed candidates on the ballot, similar to how a party works at the municipal level.
Who can become a member?
Richmond residents who share our values are welcome to join. Membership is how you stay informed, vote on our direction, and strengthen the community's voice.
Who can donate, and how much?
Only individuals who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in BC may donate — up to $1,402.40 per year (2025) to a single candidate or elector organization. Corporations, unions, and other organizations cannot donate.
How are donations disclosed?
Donations of $100 or more are published (name and amount) by Elections BC. This transparency is required by law, and we welcome it.
How does ARCA choose its candidates?
We endorse Richmond residents with proven records of community service whose priorities reflect what we hear from residents: public safety, fiscal accountability, better schools, and transparent government.
